What is the rental fee and what do I get for that?

Our pricing varies, depending on the type and duration of your event. Fill out the required fields on the Contact Us page for more information.

What types of events do you hold?

We are open to all events, from weddings to baby showers or family reunions and everything in between.

How do I reserve the event space?

To reserve your date, you will need to fill out a contract and make a non-refundable deposit. This can all be done electronically if you wish.

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

Tours are by appointment only. We would love you show you the barn and the surrounding grounds as well as discuss the details of your event. To schedule a tour, please email events@hopewellhighlands.ca.

For my wedding, do I have additional time for set-up and tear down?

The price for wedding includes time for set-up and tear down. Your contract includes the days and times before and after your wedding day. Typically, the Friday before the wedding and Sunday after are available for setting up and tearing down your decorations.

Can I use any vendors I like?

Yes, you are able to bring in any vendors you wish. We have a preferred vendors list if you would like some suggestions. The caterer must be licensed and insured.

What is your alcohol policy?

We are now offering bar services to all our wedding packages. Upon booking, we will provide you with a liquor list of our usual stock and if you’d like a signature drink or something specific, we are happy to cater to what you are looking for.

Will staff be available to help set-up my decor?

We do not help decorate unless you have added our decor service from our A la Carte services. We have added this service to help with those who don’t have a team to do this for them.

Are there any lodging options near the venue?

Yes there are several hotel/motels and AirBnB in close proximity to the barn. A list of accommodations can be provided upon request.

Do you provide tables, linens, tableware, etc.?

For an up to date list of the items we rent or provide as part of the venue fee, ask for our current inventory list! We consistently add new items to our inventory for use or rent to our couples.

Do we have to set up our own chairs and tables and/or take them down?

Yes, you will be in charge of placing the tables and chairs in whichever layout you prefer. However, if you need to transition the room from ceremony to reception, you can hire our “flip crew” and they will take care of the transition for you.

Can I cook on site?

We do not have any kitchen space available at this time. If you wish, you may bring your own BBQ for use.

Does the event allow smoking?

Yes, guests can smoke outside of the barn. However, cigarettes are to be placed in buckets to dispose of. We do have a butt policy that requires them to be picked up outside, should they be thrown outside of designated bins.
